College Hall of Fame and National Championship Coaches (PDF Copy)
From the Editor: This publication has been produced from the College Lectures that have appeared in the Coach of the Year Clinic Manuals from 1976 to 2010, including the latest inductee and a National Champion in 2010, Mack Brown - University of Texas, announced in January 2018 to the College Hall of Fame.
Some of the coaches that appear in this publication may have won more than one National Championship, and all have been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame. There have been other coaches that won a National Championship and were inducted into the College Hall of Fame but did not appear in our publications. For example, Ara Parseghian of Notre Dame won a National Championship in 1966 and 1973 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980, however, we did not have a lecture by him published in the Coach of the Year Clinic Manuals. Darrell Royal of Texas won National Championships in 1963, 1969, 1970 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980. While he spoke at several of the Coach of the Year Clinics, we do not have a lecture by Darrell from the Clinic publications.
These lectures are 7, 10, 20, 30, and even 40 years old. However, a person that has not been involved in football would believe they were lectures from current coaches in 2018. Many things in coaching are as true today as they were in the past. There is so much information included in this publication, you will want to include this publication as part of your professional coaching library. We hope you will enjoy these lectures from some of the honored greats in the coaching profession.
